✨ Product Description (Long-form for Shopify SEO)

Misty Valley is one of Ethiopia’s most iconic natural-processed coffees — famous for its explosive berry notes, silky sweetness, and fragrant floral aromatics. Grown in the high elevations of Yirgacheffe, this lot showcases everything we love about Ethiopian naturals: bright blueberry, soft jasmine florals, and a creamy, almost dessert-like finish.

Producers in the Misty Valley zone harvest ripe, deep-red cherries by hand and deliver them to local processing stations, where they’re meticulously sorted and dried whole on raised African beds. Because the cherry dries intact, the coffee absorbs rich fruit sugars, creating its naturally sweet and juicy flavor profile.

Once roasted at Ultreya Coffee in  San Diego this coffee becomes a vibrant, fruit-forward cup perfect for both filter and espresso. Expect a silky body, clean finish, and the classic blueberry pop Yirgacheffe naturals are known for.

🌿 Origin Story

Misty Valley coffees come from smallholder farmers surrounding Yirgacheffe — one of the most famous coffee-growing regions in the world. Farms here sit between 1,750–2,100 meters and are shaded by native trees that help cherries ripen slowly, creating incredible complexity. Ethiopia’s heirloom varietals add floral layers that make Misty Valley unmistakable.

The name “Misty Valley” comes from the cool mist that settles in the valley each morning, protecting the coffee trees from harsh sun and supporting slow, even development of the fruit.

💡 Brewing Recommendations

Pour Over: 1:16 ratio
Espresso: 18g in / 40g out, 28–32 seconds
Iced: Brew strong (1:14) and pour over ice

This coffee shines brightest as a pour-over but also makes a bright, fruity and creamy espresso.
